LED driver in slighly inaccessible location?

Hi, I've decided to install undercabinet led downlights at either side of the canopy that houses the cooker hood above my hob (picture shows this for reference) and the lights we've picked out are unfortunately 12v, as I couldn't find 240v ones with the specs we were looking for. What's your...

    LED Strip audio driver

Hi, I made a comparison of Led drivers that react to music. I wasn't satisfied with the commercial ones, so the middle one is designed by myself. The self-made middle one reacts to audio frequency and volume. The other ones react to volume only. What do you think?

Designing with LED driver inrush currents

Hi, I am just trying to get my head around designing circuits with high bays, in particular the inrush current from these lights. So say I've got 10 (for ease) 150watt high bays (6.5Amp load @ 230v) with an inrush current of 40amp fitting (400amp) . The instaneous trip current for a 10 B...

    Replacing LED Driver

Hello, my vanity fixture LED driver needs to be replaced. It's constant current with output 25-38.5vdc 600mA max 45v no load. I can't find exactly the same driver. The driver with 24-36vdc 600mA resulted in flicking. I'm thinking about going down to 450mA with 21-43Vdc. Will this work? Thank you

    LED driver for my boards

Hey and thanks for reading, I'm in the middle of purchasing three of these boards (each draws 135 watts, so 405 watts total) but am struggling with all of the Meanwell 480w options. Can't quite wrap my head around anything other than the wattage and would appreciate hearing from someone with...

Max circuit length for LEDs powered by constant current driver.

Hi all. Constant current LED lighting is a new concept to me. Not that difficult to get the head around, but I cannot find an answer to the following question: How do I determine the maximum length of a ELV LED lighting circuit powered by a constant current driver? For a constant voltage ELV...

Confirm Wiring and LED Driver Compatibility?

Hello, I desire to power (4) 300W LED COBs simultaneously via a single 120v AC plug. Each COB has their own 300W driver. The driver is AC input and DC output. It is a constant current driver. Here's the spec sheet of the driver. I assume I would be using the H-AB, which provides a DC voltage...

    Choosing the correct driver

the driver on my saxby decking lights has failed. It's not repairable so I need a replacement. The Vega one (picture below) is specifically for these lights and is £22 + delivery. I think that is too much and so I found a 12v 1.25A transformer at home. Cut the connector of the one and mashed up...

Milwaukee M12 Impact Driver - Experiencies?

Been eyeing up getting an impact driver as the first tool for my power tool collection. Live seen the M12 in a few Thomas Nagy's vid and feel I need over with the formfactor but I'm undersided on which system to go for; DSES puts across a good argument for using Ryobi; very rarely used so...

    DIY Advice - Bathroom lights

I have 3 LED lights in my bathroom ceiling, and when the cord is pulled these flicker and stay off, or occasionally turn on normally (10% of the time). Having spoken to an electrician I know, I replaced the lamps, however this hasn't helped. Each lamp is attached to it's own transformer - see...
