Do yourselves a favour and don't bother with them. We fitted 14 behind a bar in a social club as part of a larger job. Within a month, 3 of them have blown. Not a good record out of such a small handful. We are now returning the lot, and replacing for a different brand to try and save face...
Hi All
I have a redundant stock of LED lamps. Unfortunately i over ordered on a job and cannot return as i have lost the receipt.
I got these lamps for trade price at £21 each. As most of you will know these lamps are top of the range and are the preferred LEDs alongside the Philips...
Hi lads
Did a job a little while ago, swapping old down lights for GU10 LED ones and of about 20 there is one (the only one on that switch) which flashes on every 20 seconds or so when the switch is in the off position. Tried it with a different lamp (same type) and replacing the switch but...
Whats it for?
If you look at the back of a GU10 lamp holder they seem to have a female thread? Looks like its about M10 size on the lamp holders i've got?
Bit nerdy but just wondering if it had any use?
Hello,
I have just replaced 6 GU10 Halogen bulbs with 6 Megaman LED 6W GU10 Dimming Bulbs (at great expense).
They work fine but don't seem to dim. Looking on the Megaman site and generally around there is some suggestion I need a new dimmer switch. I have a std looking MK switch which the...
Advice needed please.
Currently renovating a house for my parents, but not sure which way to go with the kitchen lights. At present they have a T8 florescent tube as the main lighting within the kitchen, but I was looking to change this for either:
6 x GU10 Halogen downlights;
6 x GU10 LEDs...
So I was gonna go for these Jcc spotlights in my room as reccomended on here. I'm going to need 9 of them though and so 9 new gu10 lamps but there not cheap. Would you go for 50w gu10 LEDs or do you go lower. How much can I expect to pay per lamp as I'm going to need 9
Thanks
Hi,
can anyone help me with this please? Is it OK to install GU10 230v IP65 Flush down lights in a pool area. The ceiling is 2.4m above the pool water level. There are wall lights and underwater lights going in, but the transformer will be located outside the zone. would i also have to fit a...
I recently change some Gu10 lamps to LED ones that are switched by a dimmer and they flicker intermitently on various but not all dimmer levels.
Any ideas why?
has anyone notice an increase in the dimmer switch being blown by lamps, nothing to dowith over or under rating, as the lamp blows it does the dimmer, have a range of about 6 different dimmer manufacturers, anyone suggest different or reliable products.
cheers
Hi guys, just wondering what seems to be the general feeling with lamp types for GU10's etc now we have so much choice. Obviously most manufacturers are still supplying 50w halogens with their fittings and then were having to buy low energy or LED's if required. Ive tried some 5w led's out in my...
I ordered 14 Philips Master LED bulbs for my kitchen and I'm seriously impressed! So it's time to replace all the other halogens in the house. However, some of the fixtures take LV MR16 bulbs so I have a couple of questions about converting these into GU10 LED's.
1) The LV fixtures in the...
Done a private job the other day and fitted 4 mains downlights. Went back the next day and one of the lamps had blown. Few days later the rest have gone. I am getting blamed and they won't pay me as the think the problem is with me! Even though they had them on all the time
Hi
Can anyone give me a good argument on either side? More and more sealed units are emerging on the market, but they still carry a premium price £30+ per unit over a conventional GU10 Fitting and a Decent (7w Philips Master) Lamp.
I can't seem to see any benefit of the sealed unit apart from...
Hi
I have joined this site to get valuable feedback regarding our new Gu10.
The Gu10 has a new 115lm per watt C.O.B Led chip that produces a near same light output as a holgen Gu10 at 2700k
We are looking for electricians who specialise in lighting to trial the new Gu10 lamp.
There...
Did a job a few weeks ago which was to change low voltage downlighters to mains voltage GU10s. The old ones were about five years old with a five year warranty on the transformer and some lamps were not lasting very long, so naturally thought some transformers were on way out.
Now a few weeks...
