Distribution of load on a ring final for Voltage drop calcs?

Just pondering my voltage drop calcs for a fused spur off a ring final. Additional circuit will be around 15-20m long so I though I should do this properly.... My problem is calculating the voltage drop in the existing ring to the point of the spur which of course depends on distribution of...

    ring design and voltage drop

Hi guys. Ive generally no problem going through the deign process of cable selection for a circuit to be installed, (i try keep my hand in now and then rather than just looking in the OSG) but when i look at a RFC as in appendix 15, i get a little stuck. Calculating cable length from resistance

I've noticed a number of threads regarding exam questions asking to calculate the length of a cable by measuring resistance. But I can't think of a practical situation where you would ever need to do this and seriously doubt the accuracy of the method. I know there are specialist cable fault...

    Schuco rail length calc

Chaps, I notice the Schuco Rail length calculation is "22 mm + [number of modules x (module width + 21 mm)]". I'm guessing this leaves zero gap at the end of the rail after the end-clamps. Are Schuco expecting their end-clamps to be flush with the end of the rail then?
