Morning folks, I'm in a bit of a Dilema, can't decide between the megger 1720 MFT or the Fluke 1654B. I've always used megger & I do like them but when they go faulty they're pricey to fix. I'm sure the Fluke is also pricey to fix! Just now I've got the Megger 1502/2MFT but its been through the...
Anyone seen one of these and if so know if it is too good to be true on price? (£195)

I currently use a Kewtech KT65 multifunction test meter, but have been having a few problems with it recently. I'm looking at possibly getting a Megger 17 Plus software for downloading - is it worth the money? Is the Megger as good as the Kewtech? Can anyone advise? Many thanks.
Metrel MI3000 Easi Plus, Can you do a ring circuit continity R1 + R2 test at the socket outlet with this tester? Or do you need to purchase a R2 socket adaptor?
Forgive me but I can't search existing threads as the app just crashes each time. I'm looking at fluke mft's and would like to know which is best, why and of any issues. I did have one years ago but it did give some odd readings now and then and don't really want that again.
Those who can't...
Does anyone have issues with this test and how accurate is a No trip test?
I find my readings seem to change a fair bit testing the same circuit a few times.
This is using a 1730.
Was testing earlier and my measured R1+R2 values decreasing the further I was from the DB...
Turns out I'd nulled with my 30m wander lead earlier, but even though the machine had been switched off it hadn't reset. It was taking every reading and subtracting the 0.50 ohms measured on the long...

Morning fellas. Having bought my Megger 1730 from Test Meter in October 2012 i was wondering whether i should calibrate it in October 2013 or in July 2013 as that is the 'Date Tested' on the Megger certificate that came with unit? My mind is saying July just keep the records straight but i am...
Please can anyone tell me...
I'm looking to treat myself to a new multi function tester, as well as clamp meters. At this stage, it's either going to be a Megger MFT1730 or an equivalent Fluke, and I am trying to find out which is the best brand with regards to who makes the best package...
Just managed to bag myself a great deal on a second hand mft 1552, Won it for £300 on ebay although no calibration cert, every other test lead is included in the sale plus the charging unit and batteries. The guy told me that getting the unit calibrated is expensive and to register myself...
Hi all
Looking at my first MFT purchase - looking at a Megger, anything from a 1553 to a 1730 - budget is roughly £300-£320 inc calibration and all leads/case/instructions.
Not sure if I should go for something that can interface with Bluetooth or software as I am just starting out - can...

Any thoughts or people who use them
