megger repair
as title. does anyone know of a good repairer for my 1552. it's fine on all ranges (calibrated), except for continuity, where it reads incorrectly and erratically. e.g . on a 1.0 ohm resistor, it will read anything from 1.3 to 1.7. it's not anything to do with nulling the leads or the leads... -

Repair Question
I was replacing the circular element on my beko fan oven and noticed the element sticks out at an angle from the back of the oven when i replaced it. Now it will touch the metal plate that covers the element. I cant find any pertinant info about this problem so im posting here to find some kind...- kuniva

AAAAGGGHHHH!!! Blown up my meter! Can anyone repair it?
Did a daft thing last week, i connected my Di-log 9083p multifunction meter to a live circuit and turned the knob to continuity instead of earth loop- sure enough the screen said "FUSE" and i had blown the internal fuse. Trouble is- i get paid per test and this was early in the day, so i bridged...- gmchris

Cheap(ish) calibration and repair
Have to get my Megger 1552 Calibrated and a reapir to the cable connections. When set to Ohms it seems intermittent on whether it reads open/closed circuit. Took it to wholesalers who quoted £70 Calibration + £130ish for repair + VAT... So for a spend of £250 Tops would I be better at looking...- claret73

megger repair advice
My Megger LCB2500/2 loop/RCD tester has developed a fault that when ever you do any test the overheated indicator shows that it has overheated even when cold. I presume it will need to go in for repair but can anyone recommend a cheap but reliable repairer. Thanks in advance.- mechelec

Cooker hood repair
i have a cooker hood to repair, it is single phase 230V, the start/run capacitor has melted. the motor and other components are in full working order this capacitor just needs replacing. it has a value of 4μF rated at 250V i dont have the same one to hand but i do have a 4μF 250V capacitor...- stussy
