Just wondering what tool do you all used for gland bigger than M63? I'm using stilltons but I rather not used that as they mark the glands. Any suggestions would be great thanks.

Hi, I have been watching a few YouTube videos of other sparkies and one in particular recommends a wholesaler called "consumer unit world" and I thought i'd give them a try as my normal supplier was out of stock of a few items, placed a order online last Tuesday (18th August) as it said...
HI
I have made a good deal for a set of used 16 panels a 4kw two sting inverter and various isolation switches.
I am not sure yet if I can get all 16 panels to fit on my roof or the way the panels are to be connected to the inverter.
I don't have optimisers but I have a clear view of the south...
Hi all,I found a 6mm “cooker” circuit feeding 4 sockets in the kitchen as a radial. R1+R2 tests fine and Zs is low. Can’t see where they are jointed but it goes from 6mm to 2.5mm. If everything tests fine, can’t see a problem leaving it as is. Will have to downsize the mcb as it’s currently on a...

Good Morning. Can anyone tell me what tools would be used when cutting channels into plaster when rewiring an occupied home?
House has solid walls, not plaster board and electricians used jackhammers to channel out, without extraction. I know rewiring is messy but the house was like a building...

Keep seeing them on ads on Facebook, some of the items they sell are cheapee than anywhere else, not massively, but enough to make me consider using them. But want to see if anyone else has tried them out yet.
If this is posted in the wrong location, please remove. I am listing some items for sale that I have laying around. Everything listed below is brand new in box, unopened and unused. I am offering these items at fairly low prices (within reason) because I have so much I need to get rid of. I do...

I am looking to fit a EVCP in the customers garage. The earthing system is PME although it would not be too hard to change the garage to TT.
I have 3 questions.
1. Can the PME be used as long as the EVCP is located in the garage so that the car cannot be charged outside?
2. I believe there...
As title got invited to spend a day back where I used to work, be nice, chew the Fat and meet some old friends, let you know how it went, if you're interested.
Hi looking at the Quinetic kit for some outside lights, not used this many times, looking at the receiver and switch, is there any way I can incorporate a photocell with this?

Hi,

I had an email this week from PodPoint. The new Pod Point Solo EV charger does not require an earth rod and can be used with PME.
It has in built DC protection and complies fully with the 18th ed Regs.
From what I can see and having done the online little training thing, it is brilliant.
Taken...
