Can anyone think of a product that is suitable for connecting a 1.5mm fine stranded flexible cable (ferruled of course) to a 4mm single core stranded cable within a galv conduit box?

I'd like to avoid using a screwed connector block if possible. Ideally this connection would be maintenance free also.

Physically you can class me as a grown man but mentally I'm far from it... :)

I'm one as well until Ive had a couple of scoops of whatever is going then I revert back to my childhood, dribbling, mumbling can't walk you know the sort of thing, happens to us all from time to time, makes me thing someone has been on the happy juice already today.

Slightly contentious, but what about using a yellow butt crimp with both cables in the same end? Heatshrink, obviously.

Whats up with insulation tape , twisty twisty wrappy wrappy

Dont use anything else than Wago's now. Never seen one burn out or over heat yet, have you? This may sound like advertising lol but have yo seen the new slimline push in Wago's? What a neat job you can get when connecting/extending in back boxes etc. Photo to follow next day or two.

I only use Wago too, either the 773 push ins for power, the 224s for lighting or the topjobs for panels. I've never tried the lever ones though, I shall be sure to report on my progress as it seems the 221s are the only Wago type connector that will do what I want them to do in this scenario.

i used one of the lever ones on a crap light fitting today, 3 stranded 1.5mm core.

makes it a lot quicker because you dont need to ferrule them
