But it says LIST the test, not name the test.

Good old C&G.

Yes, there are 3 tests here that require the isolation of the installation:

Continuity of protective bonding conductors
External earth fault loop impedance
Prospective fault current

Don't write 'Ze' and 'PFC' etc-this exam is marked on correct terminology and the examiner will want to see the correct names for the tests.

In GN3. 3.10.3a goes on to explain why continuity of protective conductors must not be carried out if the installation cannot be isolated. Therefore, this test must be carried out in this hour of isolation.

Which ONE would you go for then???

From what the OP has asked it is only one test they want....unless he has typed it incorrectly.

Anyone else come across this Q???

Well the OP wrote

''List the test''

if this was how I had read the question in the exam, I would rather answer with as much detail as I feel required. Less risk of losing marks that way. As we've mentioned here, there is no ONE single test that can be singled out.

The examiners report on C&G site explains that this question is poorly answered because students tend to list every dead test instead of pausing and thinking about it!
I see this in my classes every time we cover it!

I heard that rumour but have not received any word from C&G on it (nothing new there).

I think they're trying to throw a few new questions into the mix as the past 5 years of papers have about a 75% repetition rate-the questions are just turned around!

hi mate what about Insulation resistance or would you not include that because you can isolate the circuits individually to carry out ir testing I will have to check my notes and the june exam as i think i put as you have stated and also insulation resistance

C&G should show you which questions you got right and which you didnt because if you fail you cant be 100% certain which you answered correctly and which areas you should study more
