I only ask because there is some useful bits printed in the New OSG which may be useful, if anyone has seen these information snippets it would be nice to see your thoughts, only if you can be bothered that is.

Also best to look up the term ‘sleeping accommodation’ as opposed to just ‘accommodation’. It is slightly different but changes things a lot.

I don't see why we should be having to pay for an Oxford Dictionary; the regs book is dear enough. Why can't they just define or describe things properly in there. It don't take make intelligence to see what something gonna cause problems.

Why, what does it say? Could you not have put it in your post?

I would agree if the rest of BS7671 was written in plain English. However BS7671 refers to houses as ‘dwellings’. If they were to mean houses they would have put the word ‘dwelling’ in there, which they have not.

Most of the recent changed to do with safety have been done due to the pure installation of house CU's. IMO this change also includes houses.

Seems to me the manufacturers, who are obviously driving this whole thing, may be kicking themselves in the b@&locks, whereas at the moment most average people will find £300-£500 for the piece of mind a consumer unit change brings, very few people are going find £1300-£1500 ish to change one,(assuming they are compulsory and not just a recommendation)so not only are the manufacturers not selling they afdd’s they won’t be selling the units, mcbs, rcds, rcbos etc
