Do I qualify for owt if I've just got 17th Edition, some spurious Logic Part P full scope award, an NICEIC PV qualification, 2377 PAT testing and an Honours Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering? Just wondered like....
RWJ.....please don't post a picture as I feel sick already.
Its actually really not confusing, its because we use the same form for everything pretty much. Renewals are sections 1, 2, 3 and 13. And everything else is described on the form next to the section number. Plus you can give us a call whenever you need help with something on the form and whoever you go through to can point you in the right direction.
Looks like the "JIB" rep has vanished!! Probably back to the forum they came from
Why do you state on your paperwork that you will consider anyone for a sparks card, then totally NOT do it. For instance, I've been in this game for over ten years, although I only qualified in the last couple of years. Yet despite having 2330, 17th ed and 2391; the JIB only gave me an adult trainee card. Dispite two letters of recommendation from two different JIB firms, that I should be awarded a 'provisional' grade of electrician. And all because I don't have my NVQ 3? WTF!!!I work for the JIB, ask me anything!
It IS, because it shows you a list of occupations which I don't appear to fall into any of.
I'm a trainee electrician and a student in college, but it doesn't cater for that. It has trainee occupations which are SPECIFIC to a certain field of electrical servicing like Fire Alarm systems and Security systems. Or am I considered an 'Apprentice'? If I am, then it's still not clear as it doesn't give a definition of what an 'Apprentice' should be doing currently.
Please sort it out.
do you not fall into the 'adult trainee' category?
