Best Holidays

Now allegedly the holiday season will soon be upon us what is everybody's favourite retreat or holiday destination - Me personally I love the states, it used to be the West side but since my 40th NY is in the running.

We as a family had our first Skiing holiday this year - with 3 other families in a massive chalet and that was brill from start to finish!

Have not had one for years. Can`t afford one.

A mate of mine done the same at Christmas, went to Bulgaria with the kids etc, said it was the best holiday they'd had.

Well, we drove to the Alps, stayed just below the snow line and self catered including lunch - yes its not a cheap holiday but as a one off it was well worth it.

My best holiday was last year, went to Isle of Wight, me the wife and at the time 2 year old boy. Such a child friendly place to go.

Top place IOW, got relatives in Ventnor, not been for a while though, the wife gets seasick on the boat from Pompey to Fishbourne.......it only takes about 20 mins as well!

We enjoyed it so much last year we are going back next week going camping at shanklin which should be good fun!

Butlins for me again this year, kids had such a great time they wanted to go back, to be honest it was quite relaxing for us to, good entertainment in the evenings and loads for the kids to do during the day. Only grumble was the state of the chalets, could probably do with a bit of a refurb other than that all good.

Torquay is beautiful when it's hot, and it really is the English Riviera with palm trees.

I have had some lovely holidays there, visiting Cockington with the thatched cottages, Babbacombe model village, and the abbey with the monks making OMG wine.

Wales is beautiful too, especially by the Mawddach Estuary, Portmeirion and Ffestiniog. I believe holidays are only as good as the people/person you are with, I've had expensive holidays and not enjoyed them, then budget ones when they've been a blast. The right company is more important.

Yup, and if holidaying in the UK good weather makes all the difference!

I like Caravanning, but a trip abroad very nice, however wait until September and get a £10.00 sun newspaper holiday haha

I always like to stay in the Hilton Hotel when possible, very good service IMO

Off to marmaris turkey next Monday. Go to the same spot every year. Love it
