Cable size issue with size of shower

Looking for some guidance please.
Lived in current house just over a year now and had couple issues with our pull cord switch (45A) sticking. Also at its worst, experienced the neutral burnt out.
My relative (industrial electrician) has put some potential issues across to me so was hoping you could all help make sense of it all.
Shower is 9.5KW
Unsure on voltage 230/240
Cable is 6mm
MCB is 32A type 2.
Cable from consumer to pull cord no more than 10M inside wall.
Pull cord to shower 1-2M above ceiling.

They have put doubts to me that the cable may not be big enough
Other option is they said to get smaller shower.

Same bloke was on Economy 7 and he and his missus would fill 2 flasks very early each morning using the cheap rate then use the flasks all day for tea making, true I swear !

main reason is that the on/off switch on the shower can only be reached when you are standing in the shower. then you get a deluge of freezing cold water on your head till the pathetic over rated kettle element in the shower manages to warm the water up.

I agree with Midwest,its an isolator not a light switch
3 pull cords in a year seems to be the penalty your paying for using the shower isolator like a light switch

Get a 50 amp Crabtree pull cord, leave the thing in the on position,it may even outlive the shower unit and it will also be immune to being used by Scousers

No, you have 9.5kw shower which is 41.3A total load
you need minumum 10mm twin and earth cable
5oA pull cord shower switch
45A MCB
rather safe than sorry

BOLLOX. 9.5kW = 39.6A . 6mm clipped direct on a 40A or 45A MCB.

in actuality, we don't have an indoor shower. ours is a hosepipe and a colander in the back yard.

Trouble is Tel when I do that I tend to get my self into all sorts of trouble, but that's the way to do it

We used to dream of hose pipe and a colander; we used to mop ourselves down with the back yard broom with no bristles.
