Did anyone watch Derron Brown play against, I think it might of been 10 grand masters and he won more than he lost and drew some as well, even though he's not much of a player

just watched the video of him playing 9 grand masters simultaineously ,
won 4 , lost 2 , drawn 3

how did he do it ?

well he was actually getting the GM's to play each other without them knowing lol !!
derren just moved the pieces after the GM's had worked out the moves for him
typically clever pyscological trick , he didnt actually play a single game himself :)

anyone on here play regulary or enjoy a casual game ?

i'd expect such a scholarly game to attract the educated individuals that work in the engineering sector.

express your interest here , maybe get a few correspondance games going , share some views on tactics ,
lessons for novices , whatever you like really.

im not expecting a mad rush but we'll see :)

Yes I play daily

i thought i'd gift you a easy put-down as i felt bad about calling you a moron.
;-)

I got over that in about a microsecond! :)

Join chess.com and we can play as much as you like fella

I remember this being discussed before now, never did get round to playing!
I'll await the first few results between biff vs MDJ first, then I'll play the loser.
Give me some time to practise with my 9 year old daughter who's just starting to play...

Who'd have thought you would of got 40+ replies on a thread relating to Chess :) Biff & MDJ sound like the front runners so that leaves the rest of us to fight over who gets the wooden spoon.

I'm not that good m8, I win 50% ish of matches, and have been hammered many times, it's just good fun, there are hundreds of thousands of players world wide, you can play against a ranking of your choice, start off slow and build up haha
