Christmas eve call out !!!

It is 10:25 PM and i have just had a call out come in for a suspected blown main fuse !!!
To make it worse I am back home in Linc's and they are a 130 miles away in Bucks "#########".:furious3:
I just hope one of our lads have laid of the fire water and are sober enough to answer the phone ?
It is at times like this , being the boss is not all it is cracked up to be !!!
At least i might get to see Santa on the drive down !?

It's already Christmas day here, and i'll be going on site for a couple of hours later. Just to show my face though!! lol!! Then it's off to a restaurant for our Xmas dinner at a hotel..

He has a maintenance contract for the City of Westminster council, covering street lights, electrics in homes, boiler breakdowns, water leaks, amongst many other things

£250 an hour is nothing to them considering the range of services his company covers

You try getting an electrician/plumber out at 3pm on Xmas day in the centre of London for less than that

And you can just see a local council coughing up 18K for 3 day's of maybe sitting on his arse can't you!! Wishful thinking is fine, ....reality however is another thing!!!

I'd like to see Any Council anywhere in the UK substantiate that sort of expenditure in the present day climate. They may pay that rate if called out to do actual work, but not for sitting on his arse for 3 days. It'll be for actual and a few phantom hours worked on the call outs!!!
