is this ok?! Apparently it was installed by a previous owner, I've disconnected it as they don't use it anyway but seems abit strange.

Sorry my mistake its zone 2The confusing thing for me is that the OP refers us to rather pretty slide show but then states the socket is in zone 3,yet at the outset the slideshow states quite clearly that there are now only 3 zones, namely o,1 and 2.Blimey talk about dip in and read bits, lol
You sure about that?but having the qualifations would
Neither he said 230Sorry is this a 240 volt or 12 volt
Yeah great post them up for our perusual, I could do with a laughI'm more than competent to find it in the book but the simple fact that I asked on here first because it's a lot easier, just because i asked one question means I'm not competent? I will happily send you over the pile of certificates and qualifications to prove i am competant if you like??
your right it won't make you competent just by reading the index but having the qualifations would
true. just passing a riding lesson in a paddock does not make you qualified to go FOX hunting. :smilielol5::smilielol5::smilielol5:
Although the 17th now allows LV socket -outlets utilising electrical separation as the means of protection to be installed within locations containing a bath or shower, the 3m distance from zone 1 is still applicable.
Unfortunately, as the socket-outlet is within zone 2, it is not fine.
or has commonsense completely left the building these days?? lol!!
ah but you can have it directly above the bath/shower as it is outside the zones lolAs most bathrooms in the UK don't come even close to having these sorts of dimensions available in a bathroom, your pretty much buggered which ever way you want to go. But it's no problem at all virtually everywhere else in the world, ....and you don't see them falling down like ninepins because they have an RCD protected socket in there bathrooms lol!!
If people in the UK are really that scared or worried, install a separate radial circuit and protect with a 10mA RCD.... Just use a little common sense in the placement location, or has commonsense completely left the building these days?? lol!!
