3 months ago I sunk in 3 rods, two were 4m deep and the other 3m deep, Ra achieved at the time was 3.1 ohms using a Three lead spike test kit.

i hooked the summerhouse up today and finished it off,

i measured Ra again and it was 2.5 ohms, then just to let you know how close it was to Ze, so accuracy of the spike test, Zdb at the new board came out at 2.88 ohms, that was on the end of a 52m run of 16mm SWA.

im very happy with the end result.

I still don't really understand what your intentions were with the rod installation. Presumably you still have to RCD it anyway?

Couldn't you have run the cables before the internal cladding went on?

My mistake. The ones I usually wire have 3 or 4 inches of kingspan sandwiched between the outer and inner skins to make them a bit more than a tool store. The TV will be knackered after one winter in there.

Again, seriously?

What the hell is going to stop the whole lot falling apart if you don't glue it? It's an obvious failure to correctly erect the wiring system so a basic failure to comply with the regulations.

thats a load of tosh, if it's securely held with saddles and has terminal boxes etc both the and in the middle of runs then it isn't going to go anywhere as they are screed to the wall or whatever.

i feel you atexdcaggetatjng some what...

There is no internal cladding, it's the same bit of wood inside and out, it's 65mm thick.

the rods, there's nothing wrong with putting rods in.
