I heard on the news early this morning that the "screening programme" is basically asking people who may have been to the Countries in question how they are feeling................ now I find this a tad disturbing as it isn't compulsory to answer. We have already had Ebola protocols at work for NHS staff to keep their eyes open for symptoms. :whatchutalkingabout I'm not one to panic so will just see what unfolds.

Very good point with the sars comparison and Bird flu but they did not have screening at the airports then did they do the government must be worried !

Oh yes they did!! I went through 3 airports doing screening, i think it was the bird flu scare.
I don't know about the UK or mainland European airports, but in the Middle East and Asia at most airport arrivals you went through a makeshift screening barrier...

According to the last publicised figures there have been aproximately 4000 deaths since the current outbreak emerged. In the same period 30000 people have died from malaria and over 300,000 children have died from easily preventable diseases.
Remember Sars? That was going to decimate the global population and what happened? Well, not a great deal.
Remember H1N1 bird flu? Once again globally it was going to be a massive problem. What happened? Well, pretty much the same as Sars.

Aye .... whatever happened to her / him / it??? ........... Seems to have slipped off the Radar.

We can beleave what the politicians tell you, as they lie.
We can beleave what we hear on TV because they love to scare monger. It helps with the ratings...

NEVER EVER believe a Politician, policeman, banker, priest or social worker. They'll all screw you one way or another.
