NICEIC ENGINEER

As announced yesterday the ECA and ESC have formed a new partnership for the good of the industry.

From April next year the NICEIC and ELECSA brands will be operated by a new venture called Certsure giving the industry a stronger voice to government and major stakeholders.

The move will bring many benefits to NICEIC and ELECSA registrants, the first of which is the creation of www.electricalsafetyregister.com a definitive searchable database of more than 30 000 registered electricians.

As part of our policy to be open and informative about the merger we have set up this thread for anyone to ask any questions or queries they might have.

A member of the NICEIC team will monitor the site at various points over the next week and provide answers to any questions you might have about the move.

We want you to get involved and look forward to hearing from you.

Its all about money as you all know, i.e council buildings, big company a gets the work , its subbed 3 times till gets to me... £8ph sign in and out. And take no time off..

Think id rather skin cattle least you know where you stand, a ****hole

Rumour has it that someone failed back in 2009, but I think that was just a blip, a rival scheme found some room for him

Murdoch can you honestly imagine a scheme turning down revenue ?

Maybe the OP could confirm the number the NICEIC have failed and turned away....... I'm not holding my breath.

And the schemes wonder why we have little or no faith in them?

All I want to know is how many people having their scheme assessments (and renewals) are actually failed and not allowed to join??

When a Scheme removes some of its Members and notifies the other Schemes.

They just become registrants of another Scheme, the values of the gutter.

Any news on NICEIC Engineer, any Schemes want an open debate? :juggle:

Which is exactly why the Schemes renew membership BEFORE they re-assess - they can hardly fail you if they have already taken the money for membership ....

The Schemes know perfectly well that the majority of their members are useless - but the industry that they created is geared to keeping the truth from the public.

The ECA and ESC have been working for nearly two years to form a meaningful partnership and joint governance over NICEIC and ELECSA. The Register is just the first benefit for those ELECSA and NICEIC contractors, as well as ECA members.

DO you mean meaningless??

They should have been spending time and money on educating Joe Public about this too all the time.

When you are going to scam people into believing something you should take your time.... Two years seems quite a lot though and we still saw through it.... Better luck next time...

Unfortunately, the single brand concept was supposed to be for the benefit of ALL of the Part P enterprises - not just the brotherhood.

Looks like t`internet is a double-edged sword for the scam mongers .... perhaps they should have a radical rethink regarding their policies and move into new territory ....

HONESTY!:46:

Hi,

another brainwashed individual.

When will you get it.

There needs to be ONE independant register.

Thats it. end of.

Not this silly, endless, childlike, bickering and one up man ship all based around grabbing as much revenue as possible.

I take it you have not read all of this thread? If you had you would not have made such an inane comment.

Please explain the benefit to us??

you can carry on having to pay a grand a year for someone to interrupt your work, then effectively borrow your watch to tell you the time, then pat you on the head.

so, if you absolutely know what you are doing, calibrate your test equipment, buy all the required books, several times over the past few years, have insurance....they'll come and say, "we'll done. grand please."

its ridiculous.

it will filter through to someone that cares and can change this embarrassing situation one day not possibly not in my working life though.

Here’s a thought if you Google electric safety registers NICEIC and NAPIT come up.
You can enter you details on the NAPIT electric safe listing for free provided you are a member of a Competent persons scheme.
