Hi all just done this **** exam and these are the questions a rememberd and wrote down in notes,,

honestly mate my heads in bits the gola in split into i think6 sections and u need 56%+ in each
i got 100% - 100% - 89%-90% 55% and 88% and bloody failed cuz the 55%

another question i got was
A test that is automatiacally conducted when carrying out a test on a ring final circuit continuity is
a- insulation resistance
b- polarity
c- RCD operating times
d- loop impedance

highlighted my answer, that right?

Bugger my damn mind two are live only tests and the other is a seperate test to what you are carrying out.

So polarity will be right then mate?

Q3-BS 88-2
Q4- An earth electrode tester
Q5- The furthest part of a circuit (its mentioning the radial circuit, and it does not say lighting circuit is there, so where is them switches come from in answer D).

Here is the copy of paragraph in Practical guide to inspection and testing.

Measurethe resistance of earth fault loop impedance at the furthest point of
thecircuit using the correct instrument ( rememberthe furthest point is the end of the
circuit, not necessarily the furthest distance from thedistribution board ). Record the
valueobtained onto the test result schedule.

By the time you will get to do the circuit Zs, you will know which the furthest point is in a radial circuit. For the ring obviously you test at each socket.
Unless you only perform the Zs tests to confirm that the installation safe, and believe me I know some so called electricians who does only that and make up the rest on certificate.

was looping in the book and its says you can use them 2 testers to complete a earth electrode test so as efli needs a supply then has to be the other >

Check post 34 mate, its telling you exactly which one it was.

Every point on a circuit. So every socket, every light switch every light fitting etc

Personally i use my R1R2 or R2 tests to determine the point at which my Zs needs to be taken on any radial.

Are we joking around doing Zs at every point? How would you do a no trip loop test at a switch that has no neutral too, other than using a meter that can do a 2 lead no trip?

a- Basic protection is provided
b - All protective conductor terminations have a warning notice
c- All protective conductors are in place and disconnection times are met
d- The earthing conductor must not be less than 25mm squared

I've removed some of the questions in the first posts where you stated they were from a current exam paper and which exam paper they were from.

I don't mind you clarifying one question at a time but please don't post large swathes of questions from current exam papers along with info about which exam they are from, the electrical industry is in a bad enough state without people being able to get answers to current exams from forums.
