Discuss mft value 4 £ in the Electrical Tools and Products area at ElectriciansForums.net

Thanks TPES,

I've had a look at the Metrel website and the only difference between the 3000 and the 3100 is "built-in Fuse characteristics database for quick evaluation of measuring results at ZLINE measurement." For this your paying an extra £40. What is this?

All the zs values are on the screen as you perform the test for a wide range of different fuses, so you know instantly if it's a pass or a fail without having to reference a book, a tick displayed on the screen if it's within limits.

I thought there were one or two other differences aswell between the 2 models

Mi3000 is ok but it is the basic model, if I were you I would spend that little bit more and get the Mi3100

Two other differences between the MI3000 and MI3100 further:

The MI3100 has inbuilt help screens and comes supplied with a remote test probe (probe with "test" button and LED light)
The MI3000 just comes with a standard clip and lead set.
