That is kind of my point.

What one person thinks of as a crime the rest of us think of as insignificant.

As a democratic society we should be able to decide what crimes deserve what punishment.

Yes you make a point and every one takes it to extremes bring in a law to stop theft and next minute your saying but what if I found a penny
Bring back hanging but 3 innocent people have died .what about cases where it is proven full stop if in doubt make it life , as a criminal why shouldn't I have to work a10 hour day that's what I am in prison for .

You may be a nice Fascist (if there is such an animal) Unfortunately others in your ----/ National socialist party wouldn't be the same (as history shows us) & I would predict that once all the muggers, thieves & drug dealers were out of the way, the party in question would then move onto ...........ooohhh lets think now, that's right any body that doesn't agree with your dictatorial way of thinking or measure up to the model individual of the ---- state, these people would possibly include;

The mentally ill.
Those with Down-syndrome.
Non whites
Speeders (who don't pay a back hander to the local Standartenführer)
Those of the wrong religion.
And any other poor **** that you take a dislike to.
not forgetting the way neighbour would inform on neighbour & relative on relative because that's how a ---- & Stasi policed state works.

Stalin was do much worse ,it's propaganda against national socialism mainly on tv non stop but look into what the Russians did to themselves and others worse much worse than anyone and as for beria a bad man an evil man

You didn't read what I said at all really did you. Does 'power to the people' and 'weekly referendums' sound like a dictatorship that would start slotting people with disabilities or non-white people?! I'd like to think that the public wouldn't vote for that in this day and age!

Like I said, National Socialism and Nazism are two completely different things, despite what Wikipedia says! Hitler used the National Socialist German Workers Party to bring Germany back from the brink of collapse following the first world war and established it as one of the most powerful countries in the world, all in a matter of a few years. The real Nazism and his 'final solution' wasn't fully adopted until he had achieved what he set out to do in the first place and had the support of the German people as a result. Do you think he'd have got away with gassing Jews as a young lad in a new and up and coming, outside of the box political group? Of course not! He'd have been hanged, and rightly so!

Still, what Hitler did for the German people in the early thirties was nothing short of genius! It is what he then chose to do with his power which is deplorable. It is for this reason that slinging National Socialism and Nazism into the same boat is just childish. The same as saying that just because Stalin was a Socialist, socialism is bad. It's ridiculous.

There was an awful lot of rambling and hatred in it iirc mate. I'll admit that it's been a very long time since I read it but thats the way I remember parts of it.

My one and only point of my contribution of this thread is that just because a past leader, whoever he may be; Kim Il Sung, Mao Zedong, Joseph Stalin, Adolf Hitler etc.. decides to use a system to bring prosperity to their country, but then decides to go nuts with their own thing and kill millions of people, it doesn't automatically invalidate the original system they set out to use before they went mental.

If in life I choose to give my money to homeless people, but then commit a murder later on in life, yes it makes me a murderer, but it doesn't invalidate the good things I did prior to that.

If I recall correctly (not from being there!!), support for Hitler was massive prior to the terrible acts carried out after achieving said support. A decline in popularity became evident at public appearances and, I may be wrong but, wasn't there reports of people being 'employed' to make up numbers for public support?

Yes I get that now, and yeah, he was an evil scumbag, but notice that his personal views weren't exactly aired the second he got a shot at power were they. He very cleverly introduced his way of thinking very slowly to the German people, and very charismatically. A form of brainwashing really.

It still doesn't invalidate the enourmous amounts of good that he did for the every day working German.

What about if, while you're planning all this good stuff, you write a book which describes how giving money to the homeless and cuddling puppies will enable you to kill millions of people.
