I have my first job so I can get signed off by one of the part p bodies. I need to know the best route to take for the isolation of the supply to the unit. I'm from Brentwood in Essex and wondering how easy it is to get the supplier to fit an isolation switch inplaceof the Henley block. And what it costsThanks

Nice one Malcolm.

GOTCHA! Splotts

PS Malcolm, when do the overalls go for their 17th :hurray:

I was waiting for the new amendments Tony to take effect mate.

The sad thing Tony is that we are leaving our industry in the hands of these lads, wedging a fuse, it is frightening

I would love to see him work on your stuff mate, you would be scraping him of the terminals.

I'd say just go ahead and pull the fuse. You've got to think about your own safety and whether you would feel comfortable removing the load side tails from the Henley blocks live.

Is that why shopfitters aren't seen working in heavy industry doing real electrical work, the ones that did have already been fried

Don't pull the fuse. If its your first one and you've never done it before. Its all well and good sayin turn everything off then pull but do you know about bitumen ? Look for it around the head and if its present don't pull the fuse because if that don't go back in your F***ED!!!
