new consumer unit

Hi all.

When upgrading a fuse box to a 17th ed. CU is it a legal requirement to get an isolation switch fitted, or can it be done live. Far from ideal I know, but the £90 price tag set by manweb puts a lot of customers off.

Fact is I'm virtually housebound with this bloody illness apart from endless visits to hospital for tests & scans etc. been twice this week & will be back again next week so this is sort of light relief.

I don't know if I have a gift or a curse but I read posts here and there'll be maybe one line that immediately reminds me of a song.

I'm steeped in Rockabilly & Rock n Roll - cut me open & that's all you'll ever find - & it's all I ever seriously performed and recorded but I did have a little fling with some Bob Dylan & Paul Simon stuff once and I'm quite clued- up on other stuff too.

Joan Baez has the most beautiful voice I think second only to Tidyboiler's telephone voice.
