Hi all,

I posted a message a few weeks ago as an electrical report I'd had done on my house said there was no earth to the consumer unit. A couple of you asked for a photo to see exactly what the situation was. Hopefully this photo is ok! If anyone could help with this I'd be very grateful! Thank you

Looks like a TNCS head end but also looks like a 6mm G/Y going to the sheath of the incoming cable so as explained do a pfc test to confirm and while you are at it measure between L-E on the header and L-E via the MET

6mm...gas bond ?

It looks a though the thicker cable is going to the gas, but it is still hard to say if it is connected to the outer sheath (TN-S) as well, the smaller cable is to the sheath by the looks of it.

I have (over) brightened the area in question.

looking at the pic i would say the dirty earthing cable goes onto the DNO sheath.....the smaller one next to it goes behind the DNO rising cable and loops round the back of the copper pipe and into the BS951 clamp on that pipework.....

Could be....... Lets open a book on it. Odds; 10mm straight to gas 1/2, 6mm straight to gas 6/4, All connected to met 5/1, None connected to met 10/1
