I changed a distribution board on a TT system to a new one but both RCD's won't trip when i have pressed test. Is it possible both RCD's are faulty? Everything is installed correctly

It appears that MK equipment is not as good as it used to be.
I've rcently had one MK MCB fail immediately, and another lasted 6 months.

Dont like them at all the MK boards they are like the very cheap CTI boards i also hate the main switch flip to the on position when off with no presure on the switch and how many main switches have a lock off point in the on position !!

Widdler, given that the source of the gear was unknown, no stated make (at the time), a suspicion that our eastern friends may have been busy again isn’t unreasonable. MK has their fair share of hooky gear to contend with.

Marie-Claire the stuff should be sent to MK for them to check out. You may get a goody bag back from them for pointing the problem out.

Well excuse me Mr Widdler but the possibility of the RCD's being duff were raised by Telectrix on page 1. So when the Blue Peter badge arrives in the post, you'll have to forward it on. LOL

I had this the other day on MK board, chasing my tail for ages, finaly found a trapped neutral on a ring circuit, still confused as to why the rcd wasnt tripping and instead wouldnt trip atal, usually any live or neutral fault and rcd wont reset? baffled

I agree. Time to re brand myself as a women. Say hello to grimysparkette.
