Terminology

Reading another thread got me thinking about the terminology we use such as making off, glanding off etc. but how many of the younger sparks know what "belling out" means?

Ha ha never heard these before. I'm gonna guess a tin of cutting compound and a slack handful of red MI glanding shrouds.

Tins of striped paint, Sparks for the grinder & some sky hooks. These were just some of the things added to the stores requisition which the apprentices were asked to pick up. Happy days OH & the dreaded initiation ceremony.
