evening boys+girls. quick update on this.
I now have a date for my op. This Friday. Have to be in for 8am. I had my pre assessment about a week ago and was told I was perfectly healthy for surgery and should receive a date within 6 weeks. A few days after that I received it. Should just be day surgery and will be having a general anaesthetic.
as for recovery time, they couldn't say. at least a week, but likely 2 or more. Helpful. Not :/

Good news mate, well not that you've got to have the op or the fact that you're going to be off work for a few weeks, nor the fact that you're going to feel like you've been kicked in the bolox by several angry horses.
You know what I mean though.

Cheers trev. All the time waiting to get something done and I've been impatient. Now i have a date, i don't want it to come!

It's human nature to feel like that Dan..............damned if we do and damned if we don't! This time next week it will all be over, so just think positive and you will be fine. Best wishes from me. x:bow:

Dan, I just thought that I could do you a massive favour. If you like I could come up and kick you in the balls a few times so you get used to the feeling

Shame, you guys are harsh!! I'm glad to hear it was nothing more sinister than a torsion Dan, as I'm sure you were as well. One of my employees had a similar operation about 5 or 6 years ago, it's a straight forward procedure and the pain wasn't too bad. He also had general anesthetic so because his op was late afternoon he only was released next morning. He was on some paracetamol based painkillers for the first couple of days but it was mostly discomfort rather than harsh pain and his was fully mobile around the house after a day or so. It took him a week and he was back at work full time but was on light duties for a couple of weeks after that. I think they anchored both his testis though for some reason even though it was only one of them that was twisted.

Cheers tidy. Just a thought, but do you own a nurses uniform and free for about a week next week..?

I'm getting both done too. Purely because I get pain in both randomly and doesn't make sense to just do one.
As for just discomfort as opposed to harsh pain, I expect that's exactly what it'll be.

And it's funny how my Balls are aching just thinking about your Balls aching.
And what a truly thoughtful person Trev really is, give give give That's him!!

Hey, I don't mind doing anyone a favour mate. Like you say, I'm just one of life's givers.
I blame my parents :)
