I'm staying NEUTRAL in this
there should be no non r.c.d side if youve completed a CU change to the 17th editionNo I have not gone off to sulk.
nice to see someone being neutral and some constructive advice would be helpful. think this was a pointer
I have been tracing the wiring and think I have narrowed it down to a fault or incorrectly wired dimmer switch. Which is what I am now looking at. I was wiring the light it the rcd side but after reading wylex PDF it states to the right. On the none rcd side which is the confusing aspect.
yes I am qualified but have not done anything for about 5 years and am out of practice that's why I was after some professional help and guidance not abuse from some members. Qualified to the 17th edition?
What at I am having difficult in understanding if they are wired on right none rcd side why are they tripping the rcd regardless of what is causing it.

You have to have a laugh or you go mad and I love a bright spark especially when it some else who is turning on the switch for me
No this is not for a customer as I do not do if a living I am just trying to save a friend a few quid as they are having problems and cannot afford to get a sparky in
would some be kind enough just to tell me why is trips on the none rcd side but not on the rcd side.
I think ink it is to do with the dimmer which I will be testing and changing later as this is tripping the circuit when operated
