Hi all,
I had a drink (alright then a skinny latte) this afternoon with a pal of mine. He happens to work at Bromley Job Centre - for those of you who don't know; Bromley is the largest borough within London. Anyway, my mate is a 'customer advisor' and we were generally discussing the state of the economy and how things are looking for the future, I was shocked when he then told me that the word 'electrician' is one of the top five keywords that customers use on the Job Centre website. Doesn't bode well does it? I wish that I'd become an MP now.

been in this game for 25 years and can honestly say its the worst I've known it. The mrs is going back part time and were cutting the cloth so that I can get out of it and find something else. Ok less money I know but with less money comes less pressure. The standard of work I see nowdays is frightning, no pride in the ones coming thru, just all about money. One bloke on a job was a butcher 6 months ago, nice bloke but no way should he have been doing the job he had been given. I just cant get my head round it all.

I done my 16th and 2391 there in 1999/2000 and the entry criteria for the 2391 was the 16th at the time. About 60% of the electrical students there now have no where to work on the tools, but the advert of £70,000 a year is a puller.

Plenty of plumbing students there as well who get sent down the road for their practical, the trainers are having it right off lol clever sods
