What Brand of Tester Do You Use?

Kewtech KT64. Simple and easy to use. Love it!
Kewtech KT117 Digital Multimeter. Only recently purchased as my Fluke was stolen. This will do until I get another Fluke.
Kewtech Loopcheck 106 socket tester. Handy for ID'n unmarked CU's. You know how they can be.

Just out of curiosity have you tried the megger 15xx series?

I use a Metrel MI 3000 and it's great. Didn't get a Megger as their rep has been destroyed by the recent trouble.

The MI 3000 does everything I need and is easy to use. Only problem is that the tutors at the college take the **** out of it because of the silly colours!

Personally in my line of work anything that isnt autoranging lol. i cannot remember the brand of my multimeter only that it was ~£120 ish from RS components, it does the job and i can individually select the ranges for the application rather than watching my meter hunt for a voltage / current before ive even connected it to anything, also note: i like to have acess to an analogue meter for those times when i have for instance a suspect 'potentiometer' where it is alot easier to watch a needle when looking for flat spots/breaks than it is to watch a digital display! admittedly a co-worker of mine swears by fluke however.

When I first started training about 4 years ago I bought a secondhand Kewtech continuity and resistance meter off eBay. Once I qualified and needed a calibrated meter I bought a Megger MFT, so Kewtech got lost somewhere at back of the van.

The other day the Megger blew a fuse and I need to do some continuity and IR testing quickly. Hauled the Kewtech out and - blow me - it all worked perfectly, didn't even ask for new batteries! I 're-discovered' that I really like the way the test lock and sound signal works, so I intend to get it calibrated and start using it regularly.
