95mm cable size can't be right

Thats for single phase you berk. Your machine will be 3 phase so take a lot smaller cable.

It's not worth even telling you as you don't apear to be competent.

This kva question is one you would exspect your average apprentice to easily manage.

And you might need 95mm it depends on many factors including the length of the run

That's only if the figures 75 kva and 22kw are correct. I need to get the exact details of the machine.

When I did quick check on specs. It said 75kva total power. Somewhere in there it said 22kw rating

If a machine is 3ph and asks for 75kva its per phase but having said that some far east machine can be labled different as they dont comply to our markings

The lad doesnt seem to be listening to what he doesnt want to hear DW.
Seems to be grasping at snippets of info to try to get the answer without doing or being able to do the calcs.

if skelton is right and there power factor is 0.3

they have much bigger problems!!!

ironically 104amp is around the right mark when you factor in the power factor skelton mentioned :)

if he doesn't sort the pf of the place out first he will need a cable 10 times the size he could have otherwise gotten away with

How many times do I have to say. I'm going to get the full details first and then work it out.
