Do we know the backbox has fixed and not floating mounting lugs?
Not required if fixed lugs but I was taught it was good workmanship to add them. So always have.

Oh mo you've let the smoke out.
When I started as an auto electrician an old boy explianed that car electrics work on smoke. As long as the smoke stays in all is good. Let the smoke out and it won't work.
I've discovered mains is similar but its not smoke but loud bangs that make it work. Let the loud bang out and it stops working.
