Ah but the person installing the shower will inherit that problem. He could lose out if he provides a quote based on different design criteria than a competitor.
The two right angled screwdrivers, so simple yet so effective!
You know when the semi skilled put pipes right in front of conduit boxes, or a programmer 2" above the "wiring center".
I recall having issues with these a few years back. Found the problem to be the BMS, some idiot decided to cut the control live to switch the lights off. This resulted in a whole host of symptoms, lights permanently on, lights not turning on, etc. Once we removed this, we reset all units, and...
I'll get my coat :smartass:.
I've seen centralized UPS's working in conjunction with gen set via auto C/O, but never anything like this.
How can it possibly maintain synch, I'm stumped?
The design never intended to allow inter-connection (bus-couplers, castells, etc.). But when you're caught with your trousers down, things can (and often do) have to be implemented :juggle:.
The DNO was really understanding and helped us out of our "up the creek" situation :wings:.
Indeed, only once have I seen two synced supplies. This was with the DNO's SAP present at all times, and was done because of extremely difficult circumstances. This was also using another TX, not generator set. It'd be a brave man to "rack" that in!
I hope this C/O has electrical and...
Agreed,
Things are often taken out of context, this is "one" solution to a problem - there are many, many more!
With this example he doesn't have to pull through 50mtrs cable etc, etc. Is that not the whole point of learning . . . Learn the underpinning knowledge, learn various ways to do...
Unfortunately anything is possible . . . I've seen sensors in conduit, laid in tile adhesive, between tiles in grout, even behind the skirting board! Although to be fair (credit where credit is due), I've yet to see one coiled in the back of the state ;-)
Think yourself lucky he hasn't learnt the generator trick yet :rolleyes4:
"you plug this one in 'ere . . . . . and this one . . . . . ow @£$% that hurt!?!?! . . . No it's the other way round, I remember now" Sadly this has actually happened before my very eyes!
Interesting, perhaps jumbo studs are being utilised?
Or is the installation of plasterboard to be "dot 'n' dabbed" only?
Cables do not have to be installed at a depth >50mm, providing that additional protective measures are utilised.

Ensure Generator does indeed have an Earth mat/nest, and fit new MET with removable links?
This is what i've always done, and although fitted i've yet to see a link removed whilst on gen set. This is actually written in the emergency plans/method statements, you can take them to the water . . ...
