Yep that is pretty simple but my point is a wall chaser is used to save time and one that cuts a 30mm wide chase will then have to be run up again to widen the chase so why not just use the 4 1/2" grinder. The only wall chasers to be considered are the ones that are capable of cutting a 40mm...
Hi Barryj90 welcome to the forum
If you are doing a night school college course there will be a lot to learn in little time if that makes sense, every college will be different but it sounds a little strange to throw up a 2 way lighting circuit for you to understand and build when he could of...
Hi Mark27 welcome to the forum
A 16 week intensive course sounds like a hell of a lot to take in and understand over a very short period of time, im not sure if it is equivalent to 2 years at college but something to bear in mind is 2365 level 2 and 3 taught in a college over 2 years will give...
Be very cautious with the cheaper wall chasers look into the width of the cut and its only 30 mm great for smaller cable capping but no good for the wider capping when chasing a few cables in.
Standard 4 1/2 grinder and extractor does just as good and its a lot lighter.
Personally i couldnt think of anything worse than sitting on me arse all day at a desk in an office environment. Not for me but each to there own i suppose you wont get soaked to the bone from the rain freeze your nuts off in the cold or get covered in mud when walking across various sites. You...

You will need photographic evidence of you working in industrial/commercial and domestic electrics and an assessor will need to attend your chosen site...
So those cables are dead and just left in ducts if spiked, Im wondering because surely spiking a cable to work on and then re energising after work has been completed without repairing or re jointing would be seriously bad practice and possibly fatal.
Im basically asking if a cable has been...
If someone has the time could they explain the Spiking of the cable, is it to prove phases ? Are those cables individual incoming feeds from a transformer to a factory or industrial unit?
Your replies are much appreciated im curious to find out why its been left as armoured cables have sheath...
I was taking mick m8 lol im still training and learning.
But agree on the point of rcbo's as it was a new loft conversion so wouldn't of cost much. Im not to keen on the fact if a fault occurs they will loose both circuits in the loft so I would of either separated them or fitted rcbo's
I started as a pat tester boring as feck and was promised to be trained as electrician which never happened so i self funded my quals with my redundancy money from previous trade and managed to get a reply from my now employer who has trained me up, not a lot of hours at first but he saw that i...
