Hi all,
Today I was given a yellow 240v extension reel to use.
Now if I'm not mistaken yellow flex indicates 110v.
So how does this comply?
If I was to use this on a construction site everybody would assume it is 110v whereas in reality it's not it's 240v!
Thoughts please :)
We are taking over a building after commissioning and I found this install of which a macerator is plugged in to. I wouldn’t install this way and the glands and metal clad covers are not even fitted properly so the IP rating is non-existent. I have to tackle them on the install but looking...

Hi,
I've 26 MR16 12v downlights in my property. At the moment they're running 50w halogens, LED's would obviously be the more efficient option.
I think I've got a pretty solid plan for converting but I'm hoping someone will be able to point out any glaring omissions :stooge_curly:

I have 19 12V downlights in my living room that I am thinking of changing to 240V LEDs (out of the Kosnic range from CPC, already put the 6w flood ones in instead of halogen in the existing GU10 holders in my kitchen and am impressed!).

Hi,
I have recently moved over to the marine side of the industry which has some very noticable differences. The main one is that we have 2 phases each at 110v and together giving 230v ie no neutral involved. The other is that an earth fault does not trip an MCB only a short circuit ie phase to...
