Hi Folks,
I use a couple of automatic light switches for when I'm away, they are fully electronic with triacs, they do not have contacts or relays. I fitted them in place of the original 2 wire wall switches, they presently switch old fashioned 60W incandescent bulbs. (To be clear the automatic...

Hi,
When i switch my sidelights on,they come on yet the front nearside bulb barely emits any light. How can a bulb do that? I thought that a a bulb either "works" or it doesn't.... Is it a faulty bulb or electrical problem?
Thanks

Last night I switched on the livingroom lights which is lit by a total of 8...

Hi Guys
Client of mine has loads of these old 100 Watt ES spot fittings. Called me in to fix. Most OK, just needed screwing in further but a lubricant would help. They're blooming tight. Any recommendation considering how hot these get? Considered recommending a spot of vaseline, but that's...

I need to replace some ceiling rose/pendants in my property as they've become brittle with age.
I've bought some new ones but they are all the standard length of cable.

Does any one know the model name/number of this type of low energy bulb? It does not seem to have any markings and the bulb part seems to be integrated with the housing.
Customer has about 50 old ~20W halogen downlights. All open-backed type, many broken GU5.3 connectors.
I can't replace 50 off with fangled all-in type LED lamps because:
1) She will have a fit at the price.
2) There would be too much light (in corridors etc) because ex. 20W halogens are too...

I've been looking at LED bulb prices for gu10's and it seems the best place to buy them at the moment is online my wholesaler can't even get close on some of the prices on certain bulbs.
Have you lot noticed the same or do I just get bad prices?
