Evening all,
Been having a look at cordless drills for a while now. Im only starting out, so this will be my first .
Im probably going to go with Makita(i think)... but the thing is...
The new Li-ion ranges are out across Bosch, De-walt, Hilti etc etc, then there are the old Ni-Cd's...
The price of these battery's are just ridiculous. I have seen the cheaper replica ones for sale but are they as good ? Or is it worth buying a genuine makita one ?
Im soon going to need a new set of power tools. Due to i only have cheap and cheerful drills to keep me plodding along. Im trying to decide weather to go for milwaukee over makita. Any of you guys have any milwaukee tools? Or have tried them n think makita is better? Please help me :) cheers...
Hi
has anyone noticed if there is much of a difference in the vibes to the user between a Rotary hammer and an AVT Rotary Hammer drill?
For example Makita HR2611F v HR2610.
I am wondering if it is worth the extra few quid for AVT (Anti Vibration Technology)
I've always just used the drills provided at work, but thought its about time I invested in my own setup.
I'm a big believer in "you get what you pay for" and "quality products last".
I've never had chance to get my hands on a hitachi drill so not 100% on them. I've found a good looking set...
As above, makit 12v sds cordless drill, this has 3 functions, drill, sds drill and chisel
I've had this from new and one of the Batts failed ( doesn't hold charge ) from near new, maybe can be fixed...
The other is great, both 3.0ah
Ideal for someone with a few makita 12v batts
Drill works...

Hi Guys,
I have a question, can I use a charger with amperes high than 9A to charge Makita BL1430 lithium battery? what determine this ? is come from battery or charger ?
Cheers
yes I know, another drill question and I know there has been a 453 thread ;) but I do have a specific question!
I am in need of a new lightweight combi drill (my old ryobi having knackered batteries and a bent chuck...) and noticed B&Q are doing the 453 with 2 1.4Ah batteries for £129.
I had...
PMF180 gave up the ghost today. Was initially thinking about replacing with the blue version 110v, but I see Toolstation do a very similar Makita for about the same money.
Has anyone experience of the Makita, better or worse than the Bosch?
Alternatively, are Fein worth the extra money?
For car fund and slimming down due to not being on the tools much :D
