anybody done this? they are alot cheaper, it seems to be worth the risk of import tax

I normally like makita products. In fact I only have makita power tools ( I know ) but I don't like the idea in this? I can't see either part of it being any good. If you want a torch, buy a torch, if you want a radio, buy a radio. Simples!

So it's time to upgrade from my old 24v green bosch with it's tired NiCd batteries to something thats gonna take a lot of stick and last a good few years. Im definately after Li-ion batteries, 2 of, and a good solid construction for a max of £250.
