i had a Panasonic 18V with 2x 3.5ah was great and powerful then went employed for a bit so used bosses metabo and when went back to my Panasonic the batteries were goosed but i do have a spare motor and switch assembly if anyone needs it brand new plus two of the drills complete minus the batteries obviously hehehe

amazing how no one has mentioned Dewalt yet. I have always grown up so to speak, on Makitas, wouldn't dream of parting money on drills that have been built and designed by primarily entertainment companies that make tellies. I can just imagine their tech team now all scratching their heads at how a drill even works and what sort of common caveman would ever dream of picking one up and violating a wall with one.

If i had the cash, id love Bhp458 but having given some of the Milwaukee drills a go, i was pretty impressed with their durability, build quality and grunt, although a little heavy, not ideal for downlight work.....freeze your shoulder right out

panasonic 18v combi drill or hitachi 18v combi drill?????????
neither...an hitachi will crack on you in no time....
and panasonics just look cheap...these are much better....

so come on glen your man that gets about, i want something that with two batteries and metal chuck and good warrenty, the makita is sexy
well for a start..
them 10.8 volter makitas are allrite.....
or theres the makita li-ion 18V.....best about in my opp.....
36v sds.....again makita.....
their the best drills about by a country mile at the mo are makita....
a lot of my stuff is corded though (110V)......
just watch it though wont you with the hiltis......i dont like the way the battery interfaces with the tool.....i`v seen a few of em that suffer this......
durafix are another good un......like the 12V li-ion......you get the rattler and the drill.....more power for the same size as the bosch/makita 10.8 volters....
boschhammer are a good un n all.....the bosch 36v is smaller and lighter than the hitachi.....and is a better drill n all.......you can go one handed with em
(knockout boxes).....wheras the hitachi is no good for ridin shotgun over any length of time....
