yeah makita 18 volt drill and 18 volt compact driver in a case for 179 plus vat from bell tools in Gloucester, comes with 2 batteries and a half hour charger, sorry may be 1 hour.

Have the Makita drill and impact and 18v hammer drill till it got stolen, got some hitachi drill and impact after and am very impressed. The impact is definitely Better than the Makita it has a switch to slow it down, which reduces the chance of cracking things when fixing them. Also you have a switch for the led light so you can leave it on if you working in the dark.

I do miss my 18v Makita sds. That was a great tool and as good as most 24v sds's

I have 10.8 v Makita twin pack, absolutely amazing for the 120 notes it cost me!!, I have the 18v Makita twin pack, again pretty amazing !!, my 36v is the Bosch, the dogs bits!!.

My opinion of this gear in order is:

Hilti
Milwaukee
Makita
Bosch
Metabo
Aeg
Panasonic
Dewalt

But I can't stretch to the top two so Makita and Bosch it is

Neither it's makita I'm afraid
Definite! Have had mine for 7 years.

ive had 2 free batteries and a free gearbox. For all of you out there who dont know the batteries are guarantee for 2000 charges. if its less than that ask for a new one free. Its easy for them to be able to tell. The chip inside the battery has it all counted up....

Nice

I own
Hilti
Panasonic
Makita
Dewalt

Hilti is nice. Bloody expensive but they come next day and replace it when it breaks. Believe me they break. I have 5 drills 110v and 1 22v cordless

Panasonic cordless the old range 18v 3.5ah this thing is a BEAST. Very powerful but one of the lads bought one last year and it didn't have the same power as my old one.

Makita do great combo packs. We broke 2 18v drills but got them fixed. Triggers get dust in them from all the holes they cut in the ceiling. I LOVE the impact driver they have and the little LED which does help. Cheep and cheerful

Dewalt I think it's a 26v (can't remember) this has lasted years. But I don't like their 18v drills. They just feel poor.

I have heard great great things about the 36v Bosch!

I'd say your looking at
1 - Protool / Festool
2 - Hilti
3 - Milwaukee
4 - Metabo

I'm moving over to Milwaukee as the mrs is American so I now buy my drills from home depo @ bargain prices and bring them back in my case when we visit.
