Just been sorting out a right mess during a house renovation and tests on newly installed ring final are r1 0.35
rn 0.35 & r2 was expecting around 0.58 but had consistently 0.00 Ohms.
MFT was zeroed again from scratch and was still giving a zero resistance reading
Almost all cable is new and IR tests all perfect. Any ideas ? Thanks

Wot about doing the r1+r2 test on each leg, like when your trying to find a break in a ring? Break the ring at the furthest socket, then test each leg? Just a suggestion, might be a pants idea?

I must admit I'm a little puzzled by you opening sentence ... "sorting out a right mess" - so are you testing an installation you didn't do?

If this new ring is your work, it should be a formality to resolve the issue.

Existing was a bad spider jointed mess have taken out almost all cables except one old leg which I couldn't get out so re-used & all rest is new cable.
