Got my first real assignment passed 1st time, pretty easy as it was only a 1 way but still happy with it.

The pictures may not impress anyone but at least I can look back on them myself in the future!

And yes I did straighten the twin and earth on the wall before it was looked at by the tutor haha!

Nicely done, correctly wired, cables fully into terminals, even on the double up required for the switched line.
I like the training method of using conduit tees, a useful one to remember for full conduit installs.
When you have the cables coming in and before connection if you sort the cores so the cpcs are pointing back toward the earth terminal, the neutrals toward the neutral terminals etc. then you can terminate them without having to cross over cores too much and makes for easier termination. A saving on sleeving can be done by using a shorter length, it may fall off more easily but wont get in the way so much.
You will later look back at these and think, hey, I struggled with that?

It’s nice to get feedback from people experienced in the industry as the more I can learn the better!

I didn’t think about sorting the cores out before connecting, I will give that a go next time as it would make it look much neater.

Don't be so hard on yourself dude, gotta start somewhere! Plus it looks good, not perfect but who would expect it to be. As I say to our apprentice it doesn't really matter what it looks like at this point as long as it's been done right, you can work on the presentation as you gain more experience.

I have a picture on my phone of a fuse box with RCBOs me old man did that I might enter in the next comp and pretend it’s mine looks neat as hell! Was done on a 7 bedroomed house (if you can call it a house!), crazy amount of circuits.

currently a sparkys mate, starting my apprenticeship in June but first go at board connections.. not the neatest as could have done with an unmounted board to make it neater from the start

Not too bad there, a bit busy in the board and some exposed copper on the left hand line connections.
The incoming supply cable for the installation looks horrible and I am interested that SP do not isolate the neutral, no need to do so but why not if you can.
Keep at it and it will all become second nature!

One week into my level 2 and this is my first practical work. I'm doing an evening course whilst working full time in retail so the lessons are only 3 hours which unfortunately means time is short.

That's it, I've completed 8 months worth of practical work in 9 weeks lol. This was the worst. The biggest bug bear I have at college is this level 3 course is costing me £3.5k and I'm forced to work with knackered equipment. Assessment didn't work, 2 thermostats and 3 program units later and it works!

Hi, this is my first post although I’ve been using the forums since I started training 18months ago. I’m an adult learner at night school and almost finished my Level 2.

A few weeks ago I started a job as an electrical improver with a housing trust and today did my first ever board change (after a partial re-wire)

Any advice/tips/criticisms about what you can see would be appreciated!
