He's off to Hong Kong, nobody has any regs there



You would be very wrong in making that assumption!!! All public buildings and the prestige buildings in HK are built to to BS standards or higher specifications!! And as a SAR State remains very much still following those BS standards. Now China is a whole new ball game all together, but again public buildings are generally built to higher international standards....

Leaving aside this interesting debate on tt systems.
Are you sure that the volt drop is ok bearing in mind the original 150m from the main intake then 300m to your socket.
What size cable are you running the feed from the house?
