yip he's a plonker alright thats why when he posted it i read about half his post and moved onto another one
So sit back and let the blind lead the blind then?
whats the alternative reply to everyone sayin get a regs book
I could see the newcomers just tagging their questions on the end of an existing thread if they can't start their own and probably just preface the post with 'I tried to post this in the general Electrical forum but I couldn't get it to work so....'.In my opinion , It would work a lot better if anybody that comes on this forum and joins in with their input for a minimum amount of posts before they are allowed to post a thread themselves , this at last would allow everybody to recognise them and know them to some extent.
Mine also. If people are berated on the forum and the thread descends into a slanging match then everyone including the instigators will be dealt with accordingly. Just in case the Friday festivities have caused amnesia I can only state again no matter how stupid their question or the person posting it seems please just rather say nothing and walk away if you can't keep it civil. Not too sure what you are saying really but my point is surely it is less rude to ignore them than berate them on a public forum??
Only my opinion though.
so hold on a mo`..whats the alternative reply to everyone sayin get a regs book
well well, whats all this about then? http://www.electriciansforums.co.uk/electrical-tools-products/88869-dust-extractors.html#post921452
So you too advocate letting the blind lead the blind - you CAN say that as you are safely about 6000 miles awayI could see the newcomers just tagging their questions on the end of an existing thread if they can't start their own and probably just preface the post with 'I tried to post this in the general Electrical forum but I couldn't get it to work so....'.

so hold on a mo`..
does this mean that those that dont own the regs book should still just carry on installin regardless?
if they cant refer to the book how can you expect them to be applying BS7671 to what they are doing?...
caus to be frank with you the quality of some of the threads of late have been beyond words..
After seeing iams last post in a dust extractor thread I don't think he is in any position to comment about rude posting. In fact Marvo banned me for using language which was not as bad as he has just used to some guy asking for advice. So there we have it, pot kettle black.
