Hi guys if anyone could help me out here I would really appreciate it. I've got to wired up a immersion heater. There is a switched fused spur mounted on the outside of the cupboard housing said immersion heater from this is a piece of flexed which need to be wired in. On top of the immersion heater is somewhere for the cables to go on the left is a heatrae terminal with a minus sin above it and on the right is a rdg terminal with a plus sign above it i take it live goes to the right and neutral to the left and the earth to the bi screw which says warning this alliance must be earthed. If so I will need some sort of earth crip and then a nut to tighten it down and make sites there a good solid connection. Any help greatly appreciated as there waiting on me to do It

The thing is you need to understand the basics of wiring plus I have said this before good training means you can apply yourself to almost anything and you will pick it up and no doubt it looks easy when you see someone do it fine but its when you have to fix it you end up getting caught out also you seem to perceive that people are having a pop at you but when your learning people will lead you to the answer because they want you to think for yourself.

Yes I know some will say why bother thinking I have an android phone connected to the web so I will ask the knowledge pool cos its save me from learning about it

This is how it was done in the old days.
electrician go and connect that immersion son
apprentice don't know how never done one before
electrician right I'll show you how but only once watch and learn.
ill not pile in and give the boy a kicking for asking an albeit basic question tho cos we were all green young men at some time.

A bit of supervision sounds in order though

Don't know where all the underlines came from.
lofty was married to Sharon was he not

connect the live of the heat resistant flex to the stat
connect the neutral to the neutral lug
connect the earth to the brass stud securely
adjust the thermostat to about 45 degrees
make sure the sheth of the flex is clamped in the cord clamp- fit the lid
then tell the customer theres no charge as your clueless

im just going to wire it in anyway as it was there already I was just double checking it was ok to do so which I think shows I was at least cautoious and questioned it.

not everyones showing me hostility just angry people in gerneral im willing to bet. **** em id knock em out in the real world x

That reminds me of a couple of friends of mine who used to go sit in the Public Gallery of the Court & watch the trials taking place.

One day the Defendant (Accused) who was a rather large and not too bright looking was asked if he had anything to say for himself.

His response was: "Well I know I'm not very bright, but I can lift heavy weights".
