Spur with two sfcu on it

Obviously 2.5mm from the socket to spur. 1.5 after the spur should be fine but if ya got the 2.5 handy...... I very rarely have 1.5 in the van

Appendix 15 in Green Book shows no issues? Why do you need the 13a FCU at the beginning if the switches are FCU's with 3amp fuses in?

Sigh, yes either one is fine really but first option probably the best no need for fusing down to 13a first if your fusing down to 3a

Admitedly I`m assuming the socket it on a ring as apposed to a spur from a radial

Well its a spur, and unfused at its source, therefore as i understand it. OSG Page 68 (7.2.2)

" A non-fused spur feeds only one twin socket outlet or one permanently connected item of electrical equipment"

The spur is cable from the socket to the 1st SWCU and is unfused

The spur, ie the cable, is not fused. If it was, the fcu would have to be part of the ring. Then again ,we can all nit-pick.

Taffy there is nothing wrong with the first one, have a look at Appendix 15 in the regs book page 425.
The light switch and boiler are both SFCU with 3amp fuse fitted according to the picture.

I am looking and its different, not saying 6 amps is going to do any harm. Look at the bottom of the diagram

Hi all right the socket is on a ring final then going to the 1st sfcu then looping out to the 2nd sfcu o know you can only have 1 socket off a spur but both sfcu will be at 3a so i don't think i need a sfcu by the socket.

Sorry Taffy you lost me on that one i don't see any difference at all Appendix 15 shows spur protecting sockets? You dont need a FCU protecting a FCU where would it end?
