Socket ring circuit 6mm to 2.5mm - interesting!

I was not getting "personal", rather, I find it hard to understand why experienced sparks would ask the NIC (or anyone else for that matter) for guidance or comfort on such an issue. If it is not your opinion why are you trotting it out on here??

Socket ring circuit 6mm to 2.5mm - interesting!

Your responses are very typical of someone who does not have the ability to work out of the comfort zone encouraged by individuals and organisations who lack experience. Why do you feel the need to keep referring to the NIC, and just repeat their comments, which are obviously designed to placate...

Pick the bones out of this baby.

Is the area a bit ---- then? No good local pubs, restaurants, walks and so on?? Bet your Mrs is having a great time......

    Wall light problems!!

That's all very well Pete, but what cheeses me off is the fact that some poor sod is giving this joker his hard earned £££'s and expecting him to do the job as no doubt advertised.

    Wall light problems!!

There was a guy on another thread worrying how he would obtain an NVQ level 3, and I see you have managed to purchase one from the internet. The mind boggles.......

I think you will find that was probably ASDA.

    Douche, shower or not shower

I thought they just wiped their arses with their right hands and then wiped them on the kebab's?

had to take a photo and couldn't stop laughing

OK, please explain. Ran out of 2.5mm a bit ago, so scoured everywhere for the best deal. Usually use TLC, but their prices have gone up, along with most others. All the usual outlets round here were expensive, even asked my local Denman's for a deal if I bought 1000 metres - not interested...

Main bond to rubber incoming water pipe.

I really don't get this stuff about solicitors getting involved when there is a lack of part "P" and/or certificates. It might be different in other places, but I am pretty sure that it is mostly a sellers market, and likely to stay that way. If there is anything missing or wrong and the buyer...

how to deal with a callout

Good on you mate. This world is full of plonkers who think we were put on this planet to work our arse off to satisfy some demanding prat who would not shift an inch if the boot was on the other foot.

how to deal with a callout

You might get a reputation for all sorts of things but if you don't jump high enough then said customer will just go somewhere else anyway. If you are doing OK then stuff em, they won't have any loyalty from the other side of the coin. If it is a regular customer then that's another story.

how to deal with a callout

I am a bit lost here also. I think the gist of it is, give them a good call out quote, and see if it is still so desperate. Not quite sure about the gaydar bit but if you have to be looking over your shoulder then I would stick another £20 per hour on the quote as it might slow you down rather.

    The Washer Repairman Story ...

It's just the same as the AMD3 carp. If the manufacturers actually made proper robust products instead of the cheap and nasty ---- they turn out there would not be any problems, same as if domestic installers had a decent breakfast and put some elbow grease into tightening screws up.

    18th Edition EXAM UPDATE REQUIRED

I agree entirely. That small fee being the outrageous cost of the reg's book, complete with an online test to make sure the reader has grasped the largely totally useless additions contained in it. I still reckon £100 plus for it and the OSG is taking the mick to be honest. I think we should...
