I am pricing a similar senario at the moment,
TNCS property with a large wooden shed approx 10m away in the garden.
I was going to run in a 2 core 10mm SWA out then TT the shed.
If I want to use the earth provided by the DNO will I have to increase the sub to 16mm???

Find out if the area is classed as hazzardous (ie what zone)
Normally 20, 21 or 22 for dusts.
You may find you need to be compex trained to carry out installation work or repairs in these areas.

I have a custmer who wants some surface phone cabling removed. there are varios plastic connectors visible in the hall way. They want it all removed and a 1 new point run externally around the property to serve a sky+ box in their lounge.

Doing a job today have verified main bonding to water already but its only 6MM.
Does this have to be upgraded to 10mm when carrying out any works i.e CU change.
Even if continuity is checked and acceptable???

Hi All,
When changing a domestic CU, I normally replace / upgrade to 25mm tails regardless of the main fuse size.
What do you guys do???, I was talking to a colleague who sticks with 16mm on a 60amp.

I agree with Sir Kitt, fix the route cause of the problem the jamming. If this cannot be sorted maybe a couple of photoelectric sensors maybe to detect when boxes jam and drop out the control circuit to the contactor.

Just checked the empty box still in the back of the van covered in cow s**t . That would of course explain the >50ms test result.

Got a call to a farm today. The usual thing all barns and sheds fed overhead and TT'd. The Farmer said he and his livestock wer getting shocks during milking.
