That Dewalt sds is absolute pants!!! We've got one in work and the biggest hole you can drill with it is a 5.5mm for a red plug, that's it!! Anything bigger and you'll smell burning..... Mmmmmmm wonder where its coming from ey??? I wouldn't use it to drill through butter.
And another thing, Work was carried out 18 months ago and he's only put a 1 RCD and main switch board. All power on RCD and lighting on the main switch?? Not to the 17th by the look of it!
Thats for testing insulation resistance between phases, sounds daft for a domestic I know. Just put N/A in it for each circuit unless of course its a 3 phase circuit.
Reading all these posts make me so angry, Angry at the complete incompetence of kitchen fitters and angry at the money grabbing schemes out there and Napit are the scheme provider for B&Q!
I have done work for B&Q before and I knocked it for 6 after the second job for them, It was such a...
My advice to you is to stop working for B&Q, had pervious experience with them and the problem starts up the top..... The moron designng the kitchens wearing the suit! no where near competent enough.
Don't want to sound harsh, for all I know he's a nice chap! but if the LABC do make him rip it all out for inspection serves him right, that might be one less builder that cuts corners and takes work away from the sparks out paying to be with a scheme!
haha serves him right!!! Tell him he'll have to get building control out, who will rip him off and in the end of it all you would have been the cheaper option! Brilliant
Kieran94.... I will all be explained by the college when you come on to doing your Level 3. Its not hard, just time comsuming and you need to be able to explain all type of work you will come across as an electrician! When you come to do it.... Just graft away and get it done, you will be...
The JIB Would not grade you as an electrician with just NVQ Level 3, I think you need:
2330 Level 3
AM2
NVQ Level 3
And maybe the 17th edition
If someone has been given a jib electrician grade with just an NVQ level 3, There has been a mistake somewhere and needs to be rectified! I love the...
Who the hell said anything about 30k??????? and I won't be coming back to earth with a big bump as I don't think a spark can get paid less than £6.50 an hour! Read the rest of the thread before you throw you weight around.
If the money isn't there, I'll stay put thank you!
You'll have to do 8 separate unit twice which cover all the aspects you come accross as an electrician. as for evidence, pictures are a much for each unit demonstrating you covering what is stated in the unit. Other types of evidences are: Company method statements, Risk assessments, permits to...
Thanks, thats exactly the plan. I only just finished my NVQ level 3, so now just waiting for that to get approved and I'm off! Not even gonna give him the chance! Its the same throughout the company, the highest paid spark there is on £9.50 an hour and he got all the quals. I never seen such a...
Mmmmmmm Lets just say inbetween Swansea and Cardiff, I could be found out! lol!! Everyone in the compancy is paid the same expect a few. Any extra hours you get offered you have to take them, even if its rubbish money. time and a 1/3 for night shift, I pull all day and nighter every friday. its...
